Midnight in a Perfect: Amy Gadiaga

Amy Gadiaga is a London-based, French-Afropean bassist, vocalist, composer, and self-proclaimed "jazz princess." She just released Babygoated, her second EP and first on Psychic Hotline Records, and it's a sweet showcase of her expansive jazz sound inflected with hip-hop, R&B, and global pop styles.

Amy Gadiaga's exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World taps into her own genre-fluid sound as she shares a buoyant collection of jazz, art-pop, hip-hop, Latin, soul, and contemporary pop gems. She shares: "These days I’m in this strange transitional period. Also a period a relative stillness and I want to be radically optimistic. I’m not necessary making music right now but I’m listening to a lot of it and to keep me sane, I’m gravitating towards sensual and upbeat pieces."
