mega cat are a Seattle-based trio composed of husband/wife duo and Smokey Brights members Ryan Devlin and Kim West alongside drummer/guitarist Aaron Benson, formerly a member of mid/late 2000s local band Siberian. The three artists recently shared their self-titled debut album, a colorful, vibrant, and enthusiastic instrumental affair that taps into an eclectic funk palette injected with global, jazz, psych, and hip-hop flavors that has quickly become a KEXP favorite.
