German electronic producer Marco Niemerski, better known under his alias Tensnake, has been a steady supplier of addictive dancefloor anthems for over 15 years. While he made his debut in 2006 with the Restless EP, Tensnake's productions reached euphoric heights in the late 2000's and early 2010's with a run of inescapable underground hits for revered labels Running Back and Permanent Vacation that peaked with the massive 2010 single "Coma Cat," an irresistible slice of disco-influenced house that brought Tensnake's name into the upper echelons of the electronic music scene. A chameleonic and eclectic musician at heart, Tensnake has explored various electronic-tinted styles over the past decade on his two full-length albums Glow and L.A., the latter recently receiving an expansive remix collection titled L.A. Noir featuring contributions from longtime dancefloor cohorts such as Tiger & Woods, Gerd Janson, Jozef K, Phil Gerus, and more.

It’s a mix of Balearic, 80s-infused proto-house and Italo-disco tracks, which I used to play a lot in my early Tensnake DJ sets.
