Midnight in a Perfect World: Say She She

Composed of Piya Malik, Sabrina Mileo Cunningham, and Nya Gazelle Brown, Say She She are a Brooklyn-based "discodelic soul" trio and one of this year's most exciting new acts. Pulling sounds from every corner of their deep record collections, their music is a multi-dimensional, multicultural, multi-instrumental collaborative melting pot. The group emerged earlier this year with their debut single "Forget Me Not," an irresistible slice of nostalgic soul, timeless funk, fuzzy disco, and the pristine pop of 1970's girl groups. Following a steady string of stellar singles, their debut album Prism arrived October 7th via Karma Chief Records and features contributions by current and former members of the Dap-Kings, The Extraordinaires, Orgone, The Shacks, Chicano Batman, Antibalas, and more.

Midnight in a Perfect World, KEXP's weekly hour-long guest DJ show, airs Fridays at midnight.
