Arel Watson is a Seattle-based DJ and founder of Housepartysea, a genre-blending DJ night, online mix series, and Black-owned community hub that began in 2017 and focuses on creating spaces centered on Black electronic music. Providing a platform for cutting-edge DJs and pushing a progressive club sound that adventurously mixes house, techno, Jersey club, footwork, disco, and more, Housepartysea has maintained local residencies at Chop Suey (every Monday) and Kremwerk (every 3rd Friday) and continues to play an integral role in keeping the spirit of Seattle's club community alive amidst the backdrop of the pandemic.
