Struggling with social distancing and staying home? Death Cab for Cutie frontman Benjamin Gibbard is there for you.

As we reported last week, Gibbard has been performing daily concerts, streaming live from his Seattle home every afternoon at 4 PM PT. The setlists have included Death Cab rarities, covers of New Order and Radiohead, and last week, he premiered a new song titled “Life In Quarantine.”

"I know this is a really fucked up and scary time for everybody, including myself," he says, introducing the track. "And I know that we're all trying to figure out what we can do to make it better, or what we can do to alleviate the suffering of someone else." Watch the performance via Seattle weekly The Stranger

Today, Barsuk Records have made the track available for purchase digitally, with net proceeds being donated to local organizations, including homelessness-support services non-profit Aurora Commons, "a welcoming space for our unhoused neighbors to rest, prepare a meal, connect to resources, and collectively create a healthy and vibrant community."

Gibbard has also been encouraging viewers of the daily streams to donate to local non-profit organizations helping to deal with the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic. Archived sessions are available for viewing on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch
