A trailer has dropped for the David Bazan documentary Strange Negotiations, which enjoys its theatrical premiere on November 15th at the Northwest Film Forum. Directed by filmmaker Brandon Vedder, the film follow Bazan throughout his 2016 solo tour as he struggled with his Christian faith and retired the moniker Pedro The Lion.
“David’s music and fan interactions center around creating a meaningful space for faith, for music, for social and political influence,” Vedder said, via a press release. “His journey represents the journey of so many who seek something beyond the veneer of American Christianity, of knee-jerk evangelical political responses, of trite and temporal answers to deep and lingering issues. I believe the film will find an audience eager for that conversation.”
Strange Negotiations will be screening across the country for a few more evenings before landing at the Northwest Film Forum in mid-November. It'll be released digitally on November 19th.
