Sophie Allison released the achingly beautiful Soccer Mommy record Clean early this year and, since then, has been making the festival and touring circuit. One song that’s routinely made its way onto her setlists is a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire.” Today, a recorded version of the stripped-down cover has been released to the world. “I wanted to make a version of ‘I’m On Fire’ that connected with the sadness of the song,” Allison said in a press release. “I think that doing a more stripped down version allowed me to make something that feels emotionally raw.”
