Animal Collective are releasing an audio-visual album called Tangerine Reef on August 17 via Domino. The album is a collaboration with Coral Morphologic, a duo made up of marine biologist Colin Foord and musician J.D. McKay, who work together on projects that combine art and science. Today, a trailer for the visual part of the album, titled “A Short Trip Through Tangerine Reef,” has been shared. The three-minute clip shows time-lapsed footage of coral aquascapes. Animal Collective previously shared the track “Hair Cutter,” off the album.
