It's a big news day for David Bowie fans. The first demo that David Bowie ever recorded and was believed to be long-lost has been found in an old bread bin. “I Never Dreamed” was made when Bowie was 16-years-old and in his first band the Konrads. The tape was discovered by David Hadfield, a member of the Konrads, in a basket that belonged to his grandfather. It will go up for auction in September, expecting to fetch £10,000 ($13,000). In other Bowie news, a remastered and updated version of his song “Zeroes” has been shared. It will be included in a new box set, Loving the Alien (1983-1988), which will be released October 12. “Zeroes” will also be made as a limited-edition double A-side picture disc 7″ alongside “Beat Of Your Drum” that comes out ahead of the box set on September 7. Nashville garage punk band Diarrhea Planet have announced that they’re breaking up. The band announced the split on Twitter, saying: “It’s with a heavy heart we announce our final shows. We’ve had an incredible run largely thanks to all of you incredible people, but we’ve decided to bring it to a close. It has truly been amazing to share our music with y’all onstage and off.” They’ll close things out with two hometown shows in September at Exit/In. The last Diarrhea Planet album, Turn to Gold, was released in 2016. Revisit their KEXP in-studio performance from 2016 as well. [ Rolling Stone ]

Australian psych-rock outfit Pond have shared a new single called “Burnt Out Star.” The epic 8-minute song is the first we’ve heard from the band since they released their seventh studio album, The Weather, last year. The band has also announced a run of North American tour dates for this fall, including a stop in Seattle on Tuesday, October 16 at the Neptune Theatre. [ Consequence of Sound ]

Daniel Lopatin has unveiled two new videos for Oneohtrix Point Never songs “The Station” and “We’ll Take It.” Daylen Seu animated and directed the black & white video for the former, while the latter was made with visual artist Nate Boyce and the Last Renaissance. This Friday, OPN is releasing a follow-up EP to this year’s LP Age Of that contains three new songs alongside album track “The Station.” The physical 12” of the EP will be replace “The Station” with “We’ll Take It.” Both will be released via Warp. R&B band The Internet released their sophomore album, Hive Mind, last week. Today, they’ve shared a video for album single “La Di Da.” The fun video sees the band messing around and having fun on tour and in the back of a pickup truck until it switches to a dark studio background.
