We've said it before, and we'll say it again: dads got it rough. Even back in 2012, DJ John Richards noticed "most songs about dads are written from the voices of estranged men lamenting about what their fathers did wrong." (Cat's in the Cradle, anyone? Ouch.) And that creepy Aphex Twin song isn't exactly titled "Come to Mommy," now is it? Exactly.
But, we here at KEXP know: dads are awesome. After all, just who's going to bail you out of jail? Dad, that's who. And that's why we have the annual Father’s Day Kids Dance Party, a chance for families to celebrate.
