Announcing the 2018 Ballard SeafoodFest Line-Up

When you think of Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, surely two things come to mind: the area's rich history as a Scandinavian seafaring community, and more recently, its reputation for local music. For yet another year, the Ballard SeafoodFest will celebrate both, and KEXP is proud to co-present the event, Friday, July 13th through Sunday, July 15th.

This year's line-up includes:

Blitzen Trapper | All Them Witches | The Dead South | Whiskey Shivers | Smokey Brights | The Grizzled Mighty | Nite Wave | Purple Mane | Gypsy Temple | Acid Tongue | Lanford Black | Whitney Monge | #All4Doras | School of Rock

Ballard SeafoodFest Director Mike Stewart says, “We are excited to announce a stellar lineup of musical artists that complement everything this three-day festival has to offer. Through the support of our generous sponsors and countless volunteers, we are pleased to produce Ballard’s signature summer event that is free and open to all.”

Friday night will kick-off with '80s cover bands Nite Wave and #All4Doras. Those 21-years-old and up can enjoy the Beer Garden, while food trucks (Paella House, Where Ya At Matt, Nosh, and Off the Rez) will be open to all ages. 

On Saturday and Sunday, bring out the little ones for the Ballard Market Kids’ Deck in Ballard Commons Park; Festi-bowl in the Ballard Commons skateboard bowl, an all-ages all-skill levels skateboarding competition; and Game Plank, an adult-friendly play area. As always, there will be arts and crafts vendors, seafood-inspired food vendors, and the legendary Lutefisk Eating Competition, which is a must-witness event.
