Back in April, Massachusetts indie quartet Speedy Ortiz released their third studio album Twerp Verse. Today, the band has shared a claymation video for album track “I’m Blessed,” animated by Hannah Darrah.
"I was given an incredible amount of freedom and trust when making the music video for 'I'm Blessed,’” says Darrah. “ The song already had so much creative imagery and [frontwoman] Sadie [Dupuis], herself, was a great inspiration. I hope viewers are able to appreciate the idea that we have the ability to summon different aspects of ourselves and we have the power to use those traits to save us from our own snakes and coyotes."
The clip follows previous videos for Twerp Verse tracks "Lucky 88," "Lean In When I Suffer," and "Villain." Watch the “I’m Blessed” animation and Speedy Ortiz’s KEXP in-studio performance from this past June below.
