  • Not sure of any Seattle sightings, but mysterious posters have been popping up in cities like London, Amsterdam, and Brooklyn. Bearing statements like "Worse Politicians/More Fear" and "More Public Fear/More Private Security," the words echo the lyrics of "Fitter Happier" the opening track of Radiohead's OK Computer, which -- lo and behold! -- celebrates its 20th anniversary next month. No confirmation of a tie-in yet, but stay tuned, and in the meantime, check out a review of the band's recent stop to Key Arena here on the KEXP Blog. [ Pitchfork ]

  • For a song targeting the world's obsession with celebrity and technology, the video for Father John Misty's "Total Entertainment Forever" does an excellent, if bizarre, job of capturing the sentiment. George Washington uses a virtual reality helmet to plug into a world where Kurt Cobain (played by Macaulay Culkin) is being flogged by a group of McDonalds representatives (I mean, they're not exactly Ronald, right?), followed by Father John Misty himself crucifying Cobain. And did I mention, he has hooks for hands? Watch the insanity below. The clip was directed by the Moldy Peaches' Adam Green, who along with Culkin, Thomas Bayne, and Toby Goodshank, runs the Four Gods and a Baby video production house. Under the Radar ]

  • Ellen DeGeneres keeps killing it with musical guests for her daytime talk show Ellen. Just the other week, she invited Spoon, and just the other day, L.A. quartet Warpaint to perform the single "Whiteout" off their latest Heads Up. Watch below, and keep track of all these television musical highlights with KEXP's TV Eye. Warpaint are opening for Depeche Mode on Saturday, October 21st at Key Arena. Stereogum ]

  • After sharing tracks like "Demon In Profile" and "Arabian Heights," '90s alt-rock vets The Afghan Whigs have shared another from their forthcoming eighth LP, In Spades. Check out the track "Oriole" via a totally NSFW video, directed by and starring New York artist Amy Hood, who portrays a woman drawn into a coven of glamorous witches. In Spades will be out May 5th via their longtime label Sub Pop. [ Stereogum ]
