Welcome to another installment in the occasional Review Revue sub-series, "Australian bands that you really should have heard of before now." (And by "you" I mean "I.") Previous installments include The Hummingbirds, Beasts of Bourbon, Paul Kelly and the Messengers, The Lime Spiders, and too many more to list. Seems there was quite the pipeline of weird rock from down under to the Pacific Northwest in the '80s, and the KCMU DJs were digging most of it.
Weird Love was released somewhat late in the band's career, and presented as sort of a re-recorded greatest hits collection, which seems to have worked for people who'd never heard the band before and those who were already familiar with their work. Sadly, they only released one more album before calling it quits, but I guess you have to quit sometime (unless you're Paul Kelly).
