Seattle's own Car Seat Headrest crashed into the scene with his Matador Records debut, Teens Of Style. (Founding frontman Will Toledo previously released eleven albums independently through Bandcamp, and he's rumored to only be in his early 20s.) Combining wry, abstract lyrics with '90s-influenced lo-fi rock, Toledo has sped into the spotlight. True to Toledo's past, he's already finished another album, Teens of Denial, produced by legendary local producer Steve Fisk (out October 30th, again on Matador). Let's hope we hear some of those new songs when Car Seat Headrest perform at 8:30 PM in the Gathering Space.
