For those of you with either lack of access to a calendar or lack of care for arbitrary holidays, let us remind you that Valentine's Day is just around the corner. And while it's definitely important to celebrate the romantic love in our lives, why not do something bigger and spread some love out to those in need?Dancing on the Valentine is an annual Seattle-area benefit show for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, lovingly organized by leukemia survivor Jenny George and her friends. This year's show at Neumos on February 13th is featuring an eclectic lineup of local acts, including r&b/soul duo Fly Moon Royalty, the newly reunited Peter Parker, post punk/power pop band Gibraltar, dark electronic duo Murder Vibes, reunited chamber-pop band Exohxo, dance rock outfit Mirrorgloss, rock band The Service Providers, cinematic electro-pop group Harps, Hope Simpson of electro-rock duo Ever So Android, and DJ Mike Steve.
This year's theme is John Hughes - The Soundtrack Of Our Lives and will feature covers of songs from Hughes’ films including Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club and many more. The event will also feature raffles, a prom-themed photo booth and special guest appearances.
