Last month, beloved local troubadour Karl Blau lost all of his instruments and recording gear in an accidental fire that destroyed the Anacortes Music Channel, an all-ages DIY art space, concert venue, recording studio, and online radio station that he established last year in Anacortes, Washington. Ever the community-minded optimist, Blau wrote on his Facebook page, "I am already envisioning some sort of collaborative work effort to get the space ready somehow for [Anacortes record store] The Business to move in should the damage be something we can get a handle on. Stay posted, I love you all for being a part of this wild and apparently, unruly, dream."
This Friday, January 6th, the community returns the love with a fundraiser organized by Clyde Petersen of Your Heart Breaks. The bands alternate between Black Lodge and the Victory Lounge, including Cumulus, Heatwarmer, Angelo Spencer et les Hauts Sommet, Slashed Tires, and more.
