Song of the Day: Hinds - Chili Town

• Their debut album may be titled Leave Me Alone, but the breakout success of Madrid-based band Hinds ensures listeners will be bugging them for years. The young Spanish quartet bring a garage rock sensibility to their summery, melodic sound, laden with reverb and their girl-group harmonies. Today's Song of the Day encapsulates the band's carefree attitude. The group explained on their SoundCloud:

• while drinking sangria we realized that if our songs were battles, we’ll always end up being the injured soldier.
• then we were like ‘fuck it dude, why are we always the weak one in our lyrics??? what’s wrong with us???’
• so yeaaaaahhh we made it! we wrote a winner song!... right?
