Bowie. What more can I say? I certainly don't have anything to add to the conversation that hasn't been shared much more eloquently a thousand times already. (Including, I'm sure, a thousand or more versions of the preceding sentence.) A huge loss has occurred, but it's been inspiring to see the outpouring of love and admiration it has engendered.
For now, I would rather go back to a simpler, happier time. I was going to cover the massively underrated (or overhated?) first Tin Machine album, but it turns out I already did last decade (and I stand 100% behind that piece today). So instead, we'll go to the next best thing: The "Fame 90" remix/reboot with Queen Latifah! Delightful.
"Geeze! This is good, but do I need to hear it 4 times everyday????" [Yes. Yes you do. We all do.]"Maybe not for everyone but I liked it - David & the Queen, housing w/David."
"Well, at least it's not Tin Machine! Actually, I like this too, but then I always liked 'Fame.' A lot of people don't, tho, and I don't think these 'updates' will change anybody's mind. From the soundtrack to the movie Pretty Woman."
"Good to hear the original + these remixes with so many other hiphop remakes. Sure to make XTCrs sweat to orgasm!"
