Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, July 15th, as KEXP presents Videoasis at the Northwest Film Forum.
KEXP has teamed up with Northwest Film Forum, Audioasis and World Famous to create the next installment of this special event, showcasing both newly crafted videos and old favorites to celebrate Northwest music, artists, and culture. Curated especially by Audioasis Host and Producer, Sharlese Metcalf and Music Video Director & World Famous Producer Bobby McHugh, this quarterly music video showcase is an eccentric blend of curiously themed videos, taking your summer to a level of weirdness that is the Northwest incarnate.
Says Sharlese, "Videoasis is a quarterly event that I host with my best friend Bobby at World Famous. We have a great way of choosing the videos and it's also a testament of the artist parts of our friendship. What I'm most excited about it to showcase music that I love is a visual sense."
Shown on the big screen at the Northwest Film Forum, July's edition of Videoasis will feature a mixture of eccentric, curiously-themed videos that will send your summer into a far out reality. The night will feature videos from artists including The Helio Sequence, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and the premiere of a new music video from Sister Girlfriend (dir. Eleanor Petry). Other videos, from bands including Wampire, Vats, Bod, Slashed Tires, Minden, and Daisy Heroin will follow a pre-screening happy hour. KEXP’s own DJ Sean will spin before and after the show.
