Tonight, Thursday, March 12th, the Seattle Architecture Foundation launches its 2015 Design in Depth Lecture Series, which "aims to explore Seattle from several vantage points — its Architecture, Literature, Music, Art, Film and Culinary Arts — offering new insight into all the elements that make our city unique."
KEXP joins the conversation with "Music Matters to Seattle," a talk moderated by our own DJ Cheryl Waters, host of The Midday Show. The panel features Paul de Barros (Seattle Times, Cornish College, and the University of Washington), Josh LaBelle (Seattle Theatre Group), Lori Noto (Design & Construction Consultant), and Mark Reddington (LMN Architects).
Together, they'll discuss "how spatial design both reflects, and reacts to, the music scene in Seattle, exploring the relationship between creativity and performance and the spaces in which these events take place." In particular, you can hear more about KEXP's New Home, and how we plan to integrate indoor/outdoor spaces into our public gathering space, state-of-the-art DJ booth, expansive music library, and more!
