Today’s song, featured on the Midday Show with Cheryl Waters, is “Shake Shake” by Battleme from the 2016 album Habitual Love Songs, out January 15th on El Camino Media.

After nearly a year on the road, Portland project Battleme return with their third full-length, Habitual Love Songs, bringing more of their '70s-inspired gritty rock sound. For today's Song of the Day, frontman and primary songwriter, Matt Drenik tells Billboard, "I wanted something that felt heavy, both lyrically and musically, and encompassed the idea of touring for a year."
Upon returning home, Drenik racked up nearly 20 demos from his Northwest basement, later refined at Revolver Studios with his brother Jason co-producing. The album was rounded out in the studio with percussionist Paul Pulvirenti (Elliott Smith, No. 2), as well as Chad Savage, JJ Eliot, Colin Hegna (Brian Jonestown Massacre) and William Slater (Grails, Denver).
