ASHA WELLS

Oakland based non-binary artist Asha Wells is gearing up to release their next 3-track EP, The Lesson.

In this follow up to 2024's Tears of a Clown EP, Asha Wells' turns towards dusk-lit balladry, coaxing the listener into an ethereal, dreamlike state. Over the course of the EP, unique song structures coincide with unorthodox instrumentation putting Wells’ idiosyncratic, percussive tastes on full display and melding into something far greater than the sum of its parts.

Oakland-based musician Dani Offline could adorn herself with five titles, if she chose to: songwriter, composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, performer. Jewels on a necklace. Instead, she swathes herself with the fruits of her craft. Each song is an invitation to tumble into a dreamscape: diaphanous, evocative, and realer than the waking world. Her lyrical flow, elastic voice, and lush production intertwine into sonic experiences as natural as spring water: mesmerizing to behold, sweet to drink from. - Moriah Katz
