Rachika Nayar is a Brooklyn-based guitarist, composer, and electronic producer. Over the course of two full-length albums for NNA Tapes and an EP for RVNG Intl's Commend imprint, she has showcased a fascinating, magnetic, immersive style that places her exquisite guitar work as the primary source for her sound design, then mutates the instrument beyond recognition through layers of digital processing. Her most recent release, 2022's full-length album Heaven Come Crashing, added a kinetic pulse to her sonic palette with a turn towards electronic maximalism and received high praise from publications such as Pitchfork, The Fader, and Stereogum. Pitchfork also recently hailed Rachika as one of "25 New and Rising Artists Shaping the Future of Music in 2023."
Rachika's exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World is a fantastical display of dynamic soundscapes that drifts across powerful electronic rhythms, blissful ambient passages, and epic guitar theatrics.
